Hey there, Future Homeschooler! 

For those who are starting homeschooling, this is vital to retraining you and your child's hearts and minds to the adventure that to come. This is also a great step to go back to if you have been homeschooling and are struggling.

The Learning Center has several key videos to help make this a success first step.

In this series of videos, you learn what it takes to have order in your home. How to set boundaries, get children to do chores and not argue or fight against you as a parent and as their teacher.

Children learn how to disagree properly and how take responsibility of their own education. These methods work for any child, any age. Consistency on the parents part is the key.

Step Two is all about creating the right environment in your home. this  is critical to the success of your homeschooling experience.

These videos take you through the process of creating the right environment and show you how important this is.

Most parents feel like they know their kids, and for the most part you do. However, much of their learning has taken place away from you if they have been in traditional school. The quiz we developed looks at how a child learns in relationship to different learning styles available that may resinate more with that child.

Many parents have found this very useful. Megan, said... " I wish I would have known this earlier. It took me 3 years to figure out my child's learning personality on my own verses the 5 minutes it took me taking the quiz." Understanding this allows you to customize your teaching when a child is having difficulties understanding in the way you were teaching. 

Have you ever been teaching your child something and they get that glazed look in their eyes? Often we think they are just not paying attention, but most likely they just aren't on the same page as you. You might be speaking english but they do not understand what you are saying.

Often this is a result of teaching a child outside of their learning personality. Some kids like lectures, some like hands on, others may like a different interaction. Once you know their learning personality you can look for those moments when they aren't getting it and change your approach to one that is similar to the way they process information. 

This step is usually where most people begin. We have to have a plan, right? Yes! But, we also have to have things set up to allow us to have a successful homeschool experience. This step is so much easier if you've done the other steps first. In the Learning Center you will find countless videos to help shape your curriculum, and over all experience while homeschooling. There you will find videos that help you understand what to expect your first three months, how to use theme boxes, how to use mentors and tutors and more.
